Raising the profile of Technology
Vanessa Lai
As the learning area of Technology develops, it is becoming increasingly important to ensure the wider community is aware of the relevance, importance, and opportunities that Technology presents to its students. The best way to do this is to get media coverage for your students' projects. Attracting media coverage for Technology projects allows us to celebrate student achievements and raise the profile of Technology and its benefits among members of the general public. In order to do so, however, teachers need to know how to produce good media releases and develop methods to effectively deal with the media. This two-hour workshop will provide participants with tips on how to write a good media release and have a chance to write a media release. Participants will develop techniques for dealing with the media to increase their chances of getting their stories into the media.
Intended Audience
