Abstract

The Resource Development and Facilitation Years 7-10Technology Project is a GIF initiative project that follows on from the Beacon Practice Project and the Techlink website. This project provides professional development and support to teachers to assist them in implementing Technology in The New Zealand Curriculum 2007 and creates quality Techlink resources with a focus on Years 7-10. In this workshop the talented teachers from this project will share their new understandings about all three strands of the technology curriculum; technological practice, technological knowledge and the nature of technology.  They will share their units of work, teaching strategies, activities, student's work, assessment tools and/or their progress towards programmes of learning and the lessons they have learnt. Delegates will have the opportunity to explore the technology curriculum, including the new strands, and will be able to add to their kete of ideas and resources to support and improve their students' understandings.
