GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTERS

The success of the conference depends on the contribution of educators and technologists. You are invited to write and present a paper relevant to the conference aim and themes. Delegates will include people involved in technology, both in an educational sense and in the wider community – educators from primary, secondary and tertiary sectors, and practising technologists.
Theme
Possibilities and Pathways - How do students in Technology travel the path to literacy?
Aims
To develop educator understanding of:

  • Technological literacy
  • Alignment across the sectors within and between disciplines
  • Coherency of planning for progression and achievement across sectors

There are three types of presentation to choose from:

A teaching presentation – this type of one hour presentation lends itself to sharing professional practice, the ‘what’s worked’ and ‘what hasn’t’ of day-to-day teaching and learning. Download (208 KB PDF)

A workshop presentation – share your skills with others by involving them in a two hour hands-on workshop. Download (207 KB PDF)

A paper presentation – more academic in approach this one hour session allows the author of a paper to share their ideas and invite questions of the audience. Download (213 KB PDF)
Submissions before 22 April 2011

Guidelines for presenters include information on layout, formatting, copyright and refereeing.  Presenters are required to provide a small amount of biographical information.  Forwarding instructions are also provided in the guidelines.
