Aims

Technology Education New Zealand (TENZ) is a professional network which actively promotes and supports Technology Education throughout New Zealand.

Its aims are to:

• foster the development of Technology in the New Zealand Curriculum;
• develop and maintain national and international links between those working in Technology Education and with the wider technological community;
• support professional, curriculum, and resource development in Technology Education;
• encourage and support research in Technology Education; and
• organise a national biennial Technology Education conference.

Goals

TENZ will:

1. promote technology education in the wider education community including:
• schools Y1-13;
• careers/tertiary;
• the economic community; and
• the parental community.
2. advocate for change at a political level;
3. support promote and celebrate research in the field of Technology Education; and
4. increase the effectiveness of TENZ.
