TENZ welcomes membership from anyone with an interest, professional or otherwise, in technology education.

In February of 2006, TENZ moved from its administrative base from The Royal Society of New Zealand (RSNZ) to IPENZ – Engineers New Zealand, where it is defined as a Technical Interest Group. This decision was formally agreed by the new TENZ National Council in December 2004.

A new TENZ database, operates and is administered by IPENZ as part of their national database.

Individual Membership
The individual membership subscription rate for 2008 will be $70.00 ($62.22 plus GST).  
Of the $70.00 subscription fee:

• $42.75 ($38.00 plus GST) covers the IPENZ Service Centre Fee (data-base maintenance, administration, newsletter distribution, billing, financial and banking management, etc,)
• $15.00 ($13.33 plus GST) covers the regional funding and
• $12.25 ($10.89 plus GST) is to be allocated to TENZ National to cover the cost of national activities.

Student Membership
Those in their final year of teacher training can apply to be student members. Student members will not be charged a membership subscription during their final year of training. Student members are required to sign up as either an Individual Member, or within a School Membership in the immediate year after commencing work as a beginning teacher.

School Memberships
School memberships are available at a number of different rates (being a consolidated membership).  The IPENZ Service Centre Fee of $42.75 is an annual charge which only applies once per membership (be it individual or school):
